Dr Tania Steyl is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Community and Health Sciences, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. Her research focuses on the area of health promotion in the prevention of risk factors for non-communicable diseases in South Africa; specifically diabetes mellitus. She has expertise in mixed methods research and a passion for primary health care and improving health and well-being of individuals.
